Negril Chelsea broadcasted the Olympic track and field events at the restaurant last week and the Jamaicans did not disappoint.
Usain Bolt led the charge to Jamaica having one of their best Olympics ever in front of a packed house. When it was all said and done Jamaica went home with 11 medals (6 gold).
The Caribbean medal standings by rank are as follows:
13th Jamaica 11 medals
28th Cuba 24 medals
46th Dominican Republic 2 medals
60th Trinidad & Tobago 2 medals
65th Bahamas 2 medals

Jamaican lifestyle and culture sells sneakers. Recently, Nike shoe company and VP records have teamed up to promote Asafa Powell: Train for Speed. The 35-minute interval running workout is available via iTunes and features a voiceover by Jamaican sprinter Powell, plus an exclusive new Mavado tune, “On The Go (Faster Than Bullet).” The mix also features music by Wayne Marshall, Tami Chin, Barrington Levy, Sean Paul, and Sister Nancy. Powell held the world record in the 100 meters before being bested by track and field teammate Usain Bolt this year. Both runners will represent Jamaica at the Olympics in Beijing.
